I am Dr. Diana Ali Alquwaie. I am a Saudi national who has studied and lived in various areas throughout my life. My academic development started when I commenced my bachelors degree at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where I graduated with honors. During my bachelors, I grew a fond interest for Molecular Biology and therefore decided to aim for graduate studies in this field. Consequently, I decided to move to the United States, with my husband, to further my academic achievements. My academic expedition started in Utah, where I learned the English language by living with an American family that taught me the English language and American culture. After learning the English language, I started applying for masters programs around the USA. Succeeding a long search, I got accepted at Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas, USA in the molecular biology program. After obtaining my masters degree, I got accepted for a PhD program in King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. While I was doing research for my PhD I worked a full time job in the Micro and PCR labs at Alhada Armed Forces Hospital in Taif, Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, I transferred to Taif University to teach as an Assistant Professor. Finally, I am currently at King Abdulaziz University in Rabigh as an Associate Professor.
